Slim Down The 360? - Yes Please

Well, the rumor mill has been grinding quite a bit in the past week or so. Once again it focused on the XBOX 360's shrinking chip technology. Basically helping the 360 go the way of the Original PS2 via the PS2 Slim (a much nicer and efficient piece of hardware).

The only problem I have with anything like this is that it always seems to leave early adopters (like myself) out in the cold. Apparently Microsoft will feel as they always do and say- "You have a lot of fat in that old RROD 360, it should overheat enough to keep you warm while we leave you in the cold."

Well, maybe that is true. Fact of the matter is, the 360 was poorly designed to begin with and they are taking their time fixing case, chip and overall design flaws.

I am starting to see why so many of my friends stick to PC gaming. In the end they are the engineers in charge of their hardware and they can develop better components than most of the companies making consoles.

Microsoft needs to see the forest for the trees. Offer trade-in slim models to people with proven problems in the past. Simply use XBox 360 registration for this and you will continue to win our hearts and minds.
